Welcome to the Digitize Fully Charged Podcast, where we energise listeners, spark inspiration, and top-up your tech-game. Today, we meet Leif Thobroe! Leif Thobroe is a Welsh advocate and community leader known for his resilience and dedication to empowering disabled people. Originally from Swansea, his life changed in 2015 when a spinal injury during a rugby match resulted in paralysis of his right arm. Undeterred, he transitioned to para-taekwondo, winning a bronze at the World Championships, a silver at the European Championships, and a national title in the UK. After his sporting career, Leif traveled to 54 countries, 20 of them solo travelled and ran children’s camps across the UK as a Regional Manager, combining his passion for youth engagement with leadership. He now serves as a Regional Partnership Senior Officer at Disability Sport Wales, fostering strategic collaborations to improve opportunities and inclusion for disabled communities. As well as on a board as a non executive director of EDI.
